So I happy I stopped here! I needed a coffee cake real bad and this place had a great one. The pastries are delicious and the location is super cute. I would totally come here with a friend to hang out, or to let the kids play in the playground outside. Can't wait to return: a great Berkeley locale!

Super cute cafe if you want to hang out in the grass area or a little cute table outside. Perfect on a sunny day

I think this place is perfect if you want a nice place to hang out. Food/drink wise it wasn't for me but could be what I ordered. It's a little tucked away, but there's a huge lawn outside where people set up blankets and hang around on, and the interior is super cozy and cute. There's plenty of seating indoors and outdoors, so it's the perfect place to hang out. I ordered the Paloma spritz but they ran out of one of the syrups. The staff were kind enough to modify the drink for me with another one of their syrups. Kind of tasted like a sparkling grapefruit drink. Refreshing, but not too special. I also ordered the magic purple square, and it definitely tastes vegan hahah. It's pretty filling since it's filled with coconut shavings and nuts, I probably wouldn't order it again since it's not my cup of tea. Would come back to study or hang out with friends if I'm in the area

Great working spot. Large swathe of grass and park outside. Pretty good cup of joe with a fantastic ambiance

Beautiful cafe next to a park perfect for family, students, or folks working. Free wifi, delicious selection of tea and coffee, and pastries offered too! Seats inside are tight, but you are more than welcome to grab a table and move it anywhere around the park. Really lovely spot that is a hidden gem. How I rate my stars: 1 - Yikes. Will never be coming back. Usually raw food, terrible service, etc 2 - Maybe it was just this time. Didn't like what I ordered, bug in the food, bad experience, etc 3 - Meh. Nothing special nor awful about it, but not super memorable. 4 - Liked! Would happily come back to :) 5 - Must-Try!!! I will becoming back to this place every time I'm in the area.

This is the most adorable cafe! I've been wanting to come here for a long time and finally got to try it out yesterday. It feels so cozy and comfortable and creates such a welcoming environment. I also enjoy that there's so much natural sunlight. The only issue is that it can get very crowded since seating is limited. There are some nice tables outside as well but those fill up quickly too. I got a regular latte and it was nothing too special but still solid. They also had many milk alternatives which was nice. I definitely want to try one of their pastries next time.

One of my absolute favorite coffee shops in Berkeley! The ambiance, service, and quality of coffee and treats is perfect. I love that they have sweet treat options for vegans and those who are gluten free. My personal favorite is the magic purple square! My go to drink is the kokuto latte with oat milk. I don't know anywhere else that has that flavor! The cafe also overlooks a big grassy park so it's the perfect spot for nice sunny weather. The inside can be tricky for seating but the times I have been lucky enough to get a seat have been great! Working inside at the shared table makes me feel like I'm working with friends in someone's living room. Super super cozy vibes although it's not my go to spot if I really need to get work done.

Hidden alright. You have to walk around the park and find this place. If it weren't for my Berkeley friends, I wouldn't have known about this place. Cool park, plenty of parking around the park, and nice staff. Cons: limited seating and people don't leave when they get a seat. They camp out. Decent lattes and coffee. Would definitely come back.

I found out about this place from 510 families and as a new mom, I'm always trying to find kid friendly and adult friendly spaces. This met the criteria. My husband ordered the lemonade and I got the Paloma spritz. Both were delicious! I will have to go back and get coffee but we went in the afternoon. For pastries, I got the cheddar scallion scone and my husband got the sweet potato brownie. Scone was delicious but the brownie was not our favorite. Maybe just not into vegan treats? It was bustling outside with lots of people and families and it's attached to a park where we sat and enjoyed our drinks and snacks Service was quick and to the point. We will be back!

The hidden cafe is an amazing spot for locals to gather with good coffee/tea and enjoy the park! I popped in for their hojicha latte and a little snack- the magic purple square (ube+coconut+ walnuts+magic). I should've known that 8 ounces is never enough for the roasty perfection of hojicha, and my only complaint is that I finished it too quickly! The magic square is hearty and filling, with a great smooth texture made interesting with chopped walnuts and coconut sprinkles on top. I'm always a fan of discovering new ube recipes, and the magic purple square may be my new favorite!
